HMS Enterprise Freedom Parade Tiverton

Royal Navy survey ship HMS Enterprise is to exercise its right to the Freedom of Tiverton in Devon on Sunday 30 April 2017.

The Ships Company will parade through the streets of their affiliated town accompanied by Her Majesty's Band of the Royal Marines, Sea Cadets and local VIPs.

The procession is due to commence at 2:00pm in the Pannier Market.

HMS Enterprise recently returned home to her baseport of Plymouth after three years on deployment.

The survey ship was at the heart of operations to prevent people smuggling in the Mediterranean. She evacuated more than 200 British citizens from Libya, rescued 9,180 people attempting to undertake deadly crossings of the Mediterranean and destroyed 117 unseaworthy vessels used by people traffickers.

In almost three years, she has steamed across the world, covered 150,000 nautical miles, visited 20 countries, and navigated four seas while conducting maritime security operations, protecting Britain's economy and rescuing people in danger.
